The winners of Love Letter Contest at #Digiversity have been announced!

The Love Letter Contest was launched on June 20 as a part of the Type Your Heart Out event at #Digiversity. 24 people took part with 28 entries.

The winning entry is

A rather simple design but with lots of photoshopesk effects. The script/italic letter itself features very striking overall proportions and expressive strokes. However the right bottom leg seems a little short which affects the undershoot of the letter negatively. Also the stroke endings could have been executed with more passion and expression. However this is still a very solid piece of design and I would love to see this taken further – maybe even a complete typeface.

As a group that features fonts I thought you would like to hear that the Stock & Resources > Fonts gallery has recently been updated on dA.

You can find a journal explaining the changes here [link]

It would be awesome if you could help spread the news and, if time allows you, move your own deviations according to the new structure. I will help move miscats myself but any help is welcome

You realize that is not easy to design a font right? And if that is true, may i ask, what is the offer? This is a thing that needs atleast 100 - 200 hours. Maybe someone here is available for freelance work if you can cover their expenses? 100 x 15$ lets make it cheap right? So for a font that has Capitals and small letter i think someone here could do it for 1500$ so i propose that you create a competition with that price money. Maybe you can even convince someone to do it for 1000$. Good luck
